The Weeknd

En múltiples ocasiones durante 2015 se ve que la pegó y comenzó a estar en mi radar por varias razones:

• Le RE gustaba a Lai cuando era hija amada y aún estaba en mi equipo jugando brevemente desde MAR2015 a ABR2016
• Las collabs [Nervo, Sia, Kanye West] hizo que hacia fines de ese año 2015 me agarre un ataque de likes a favor de The Weeknd. 

A este disco le arranqué gemas increíbles

Luego por esas cositas de la vida escuché su música hasta 2017 and that´s it.

El caso es que volvió a llamar mi atención en la recién comenzada pandemia dura (MAR2020) con una cancioncita muy cool, Save Your Tears, con un videoclip que me impactó pero eso fue todo. Hasta hoy en día que por su collab con Rosalía @ Motomami+* (BTW tiene temazos), quien me parece genial y nunca le había prestado atención, de nuevo en mi radar musical.

Ahora que recuerdo repasando toda su discog, fue gracias el temazo que habían metido en la peli "Fifty Shades Of Grey" (2014), que la ví, medio como que me gustó pero maybe not, así que ahí fue que The Weeknd llamó mi atención.

Weird. Fuimos hace unos días a ver Avatar 2 y ni me enteré que la main song era de The Weeknd...

Solo Dios sabe lo tantíssimo que escuché a esta banda. Fue OST permanente de mi vida @ 2004/2006/2007/2008 > ∞
Su sonido siempre me llevará instantáneamente a disfrutar el presente lleno de bendiciones as usual pero invariablemente a la primera década del siglo XXI, etapa previa a Villa Ballester, a Ballestilandia y luego se pone difuso en las últimas vidas que tuve porque a partir de 2011 me copé con Sia mi amor.

Esta cancioncita no la tenía en my best of Zero 7, la metieron en el reciente álbum Café del Mar XXVI.

Es que estoy actualizando My Best Of Café del Mar, que raja la tierra porsupu, y me topé con varias joyitas. Esta es una, cover chill out de un temazo dance del verano de 2001, aquí esa versión original que sonó en mi vida a full. La saqué del álbum WOW de Tiësto In Search Of Sunrise 2 (2000).

Cuando veo a una persona más con un celular en la mano que un libro, ya ahí mismo me doy cuenta que no es para mi.
